The new foster dog: Fruit Loops!

On Saturday Aug. 9th 2008 we are picking up our newest fosterdog through Friends Of Homeless Animals Inc.: Fruit Loops, a 5 year old male boston terrier! We are super excited to meet him and find him a perfect forever home!

This is his story on Petfinder:
"Fruit Loops was rescued from a high kill shelter. He weighs 21.9 lbs, possibly 5 years. He is heartworm negative. YEAH! He was neutered & updated on everything on 7/28/08.

Fruity was either born without an eye ball on the right side or it was injured & never fixed. We are going to clean out the socket to make sure there isn't anything else back there going on while he is under getting neutered & stitch the eye closed.

Fruit Loops was a stray at a high kill shelter. He is a pretty half white faced boy. Loopers as we are calling him is a very affable and friendly guy. He talks to you when you have a toy he wants you to throw for him. He is good with the other dogs here. Loopers doesn't care to be crated, but he is ok in the crate. HE SEEMS to be housebroken to our doggie door, but as with all rescue dogs, you need to assume they are NOT housebroken, get them on a schedule like a puppy and work from there.

Loopers has energy, but is not bouncing off the walls like some of the young ones. He plays and yet he also calms down and you can be comfortable with him watching television on the couch snuggled up with you. He loves attention and likes to get in bed and cuddle with you too. He is a talker, but doesn't bark for no reason at nothing. If you want a dog with character and personality, this boy has it in spades.
HE is READY FOR ADOPTION"
